Gustavus is a snus developed by JTI Tobacco in Vårgårda Sweden. Gustavus was the first Swedish snus to challenge the preexisting monopoly on tobacco in Sweden. Gustavus comes in Loose and Original Portion. JTI Tobacco bought the brand from former developer Gallaher.

Gustavus is reminiscent of Camel Snus but with a more fruity and fresh tobacco flavor that pulls towards chocolate tones. The Portion is a good fit for any experienced snuser. Gustavus snus got its name from King Gustavus Adolphus II. He financed the first boat that went the distance from Sweden to America, when Gustavus died the boat went back to Sweden, bringing its very first shipment of tobacco.
 
Gustavus comes in plastic cans with a good design and Gustavus Portion has a placeholder for discarded snus that many snusers approve of.
